Like Penny from The Big Bang Theory you may have noticed that you are magnetically drawn to geeks faster than an electron is drawn to a proton. 

Do you quiver when that hot IT guy upgrades your software? Do you tingle when you overhear a heated debate on who is the superior superhero Batman or Superman? Is Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jim Parsons, Nathan Fillion or Stephen Colbert on your celebrity clause list?  Then you are probably a Geek-ista.

I completely understand. Guys living the geek life can be just so a-dang-dork-able!

Today’s geeks aren’t the taped up glasses kind of geeks of yesteryear, today’s geek is totally chic!

Not only is he smart but he also has style. Today’s geek  is way less “Revenge of the Nerds” and way more “500 Days of Summer”.

OK so you want to date a geek.  The first step is finding one!

With the Star Trek Into Darkness premier rapidly approaching (May 17th ladies mark your calendars) now is the perfect time for my tips on how to catch a geeks eye.

One of the hottest things around these days is the monthly subscription box.

Boxes that arrive at your door filled with “surprise” samples of everything from beauty and grooming products to healthy snacks and dog treats.

But why are they so hot?  Why are we obsessed?

It’s simple: subscription boxes are both addictive and exciting!  When they arrive it feels like you received a super thoughtful care-package from a loved one.  This person knew your every need and packaged it in a pretty box just for you.

Let’s face it, some of us barely have time to stop and pick up toilet paper- never-mind having time to ”browse” shopping isles to “discover” new products.  Subscription boxes make it easy by delivering products to your door, tailored to your tastes, each month in a convenient little box and believe me- there is a subscription box out there for EVERYONE!

Besides, who doesn’t love getting a surprise in the mail each month, even if you are paying for it.

For the beauty lover:  Glossybox  comes packed with tons of beauty-licious goodies to try out plus a lovely note packed full of compliments- I’m giddy every time of open it.

For the Healthy Snacker:  Naturebox- each month a box comes packed with healthy snacks.  You can tailor your snacks to your personal tastes or dietary needs.  I Love this subscription.  I take these guys to set with me! Nom Nom.

Alright ladies, with Spring Fashion hitting stores as we speak and NYFW wrapping up, my head has been in a fashion frenzy of mixed seasons.

Its time to take a little fashion hiatus and talk about something we all need: cocktails!

 I am about to say something that may shock most women.  I am not a big wine drinker (gasps and other sounds of shock rise from the audience).

I do however have a summer passion for Sangria but my go-to summer drink is a margarita!  Icy yummy goodness.

What’s that you say?  How about combining the refreshing iciness of a margarita and the sweet fruity taste of Sangria? Humm I never really thought of that before.

This week I tested out a shockingly delish mixer for wine that instantly transforms a bottle of two buck chuck into a refreshingly tasty drink that is sure to become my new signature summer beverage!

Vino-Licious from OWG is a Vino Freeze mix that is super easy to use.  Just add the mix to a bottle of wine, then refill the wine bottle with water and add together.  Freeze it for 3-4 hours then presto a summer drink worthy of the chicest pool party!
