We live in a time of instant gratification and boy oh boy designers have taken notice.
Last Spring Burberry shocked the International fashion community by announcing they will no longer show their collections six months ahead of time. From livestreams to ordering straight from the runway to live social media campaigns, you can now buy it as Burberry shows it…..instantly.
They also announced that they will no longer separate men’s and women’s shows and have ditched the denominations of Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter in favor of naming their collections February and September to reflect the time when they will hit stores.
For the September collection, which debuted last week at LONDON Fashion week, Christopher Bailey channeled Virginia Woolf’s novel, Orlando: A Biography, the tale of a poet who switches genders and lives through several centuries. The Collection combines ornate details from the Elizabethan Era with Modern Day Must-haves to create a collection you really want to “Buy Now”.
From wallpaper-print shirts and military-inspired calvary jackets to rich florals, frilly Victorian-inspired tops, and luxe pajama inspired separates the entire 83 womenswear and menswear runway looks (in total, that’s 250 pieces) that debuted last week can be purchased NOW both in stores and online worldwide.
The times they are a changin’……..
Here’s a peek at some stand-outs from this elegant, dreamy and utterly poetic Burberry September 2016 Collection:

Love this collection and the idea of buying it right off the catwalk, so clever.
