This season sneaker trends are going Old School… way Old School, like way back to Kindergarten Old School.

Remember those easy breezy kicks you wore as a kid?  The ones that had Velcro straps?  The ones your mom bought because she didn’t trust your shoe tying skills- well they are back in a BIG way.

The white sneaker trend shows no signs of slowing down- you can hardly refresh your Instagram feed without seeing a chic gal sporting a pair- but for SS17 designers have dipped them in the fountain of youth. Velcro straps add a unique freshness that you can’t deny.

There are tons of designers jumping on this trend but my favorites-of course- are from adidas in the form of Stan Smiths.

They pair easily with both casual and polished looks.  Toss them on with a dress or skirt to create juxtaposition or get casual and cozy in them with boyfriend jeans and a graphic tee.  No matter how you style them you really can’t go wrong.

Stylists Tip: patches are still totally on trend for SS17- try adding them onto denim shirts, jackets and boyfriend jeans to give them new life.
