Batter Up Baseball Cap Trend

First it was Dad Hats, then Baker Boy Caps followed by last season’s chaud chapeau the Beret, but now once again the man with the midas touch Gucci’s Alessandro Michele has changed EVERYTHING for Pre-Fall 2018.

Last month Gucci releases their pre-fall campaign with features a partnership with Major League Baseball (the first high-end designer pairing on the league’s roster) and you know what that means?  Baseball Caps.

Toss out those flat brim snap-backs Gucci has brought the classic baseball style curved brim cap back to life.

For the collection the Gucci logo along with some Gucci-esc glitz, flower details and insect prints were magically and deliciously added to Yankees caps (other MLB teams will be released in Fall) and paired with fantastic explosion of prints and color in that oh so Gucci way.

As soon as the campaign launched fashion trendsetters and street-stylers couldn’t get baseball caps on their heads fast enough- after all when the king of trendsetting steps up to bat everyone takes notice.

You don’t have to blow your bucks on a Gucci creation to pull off the look (the Gucci version is about $530). Pop  into any sports store (Champs, LIDS, Sports Authority) and pick the team or if you don’t have a team the color of your choice for around $20.

The great thing about this Pre-Fall/Fall trend is that it’s also perfect for summer!  You can start rockin’ it now and come fall your friends will be like “Wow you were really ahead of that trend”.

  2. I love that shade of blue on the hat, matching it with the red bag is brilliant. Love the how the red just pops! I have so many baseball caps too, they’re great for bad hair day while supporting your team 😉
