Skin that is Pumpkin Perfect!

Here is more October Pumpkin Goodness!

Finding a good exfoliating scrub can be a tough task.  There are hundreds of choices out there and you can spend/waist alot of time and money sampling them all!

Some are too rough on the skin, some leave a weird residue and others don’t really do anything at all.

That’s why I’m here to help you navigate through the sea of products in the skincare isle.

Exfoliation is a step many women (and men) make the mistake of skipping in their skin care routine.  Exfoliation is  the key to keeping your skin looking soft and youthful.  Not only does it removes all the dead skin cells from your face it leaves the skin soft, smooth and glowing.

My favorite facial scrub product is Sugar Glow Face Scrub from skincare expert Ole Henriksen.

It polishes away impurities with an all star cast of ingredients (AND contains my favorite: PUMPKIN!):

African red tea Strengthens the skin’s outer layer, slows the aging process and soothes the skin
Raw, organic sugar Gently exfoliates and moisturizes dry lackluster skin
Honey Natural humectant; antimicrobial
Pomegranate seeds Exfoliates dead skin; high in polyphenols
Pumpkin extract Brightens, exfoliates and refines
Rose hips Soothes and tones with vitamins A and C
Tangerine, Grapefruit, Orange Purifies and brightens; astringent and antiseptic

The best way to use a scrub is to first wet your face and fingers.

Next take a small amount of the scrub and massage it all over your face, neck and decolletage- don’t rub too hard and avoid the eye area (I have had scrub in my eye before and it is not fun).

After you have massaged all areas, gently wash your face off and blot dry with a soft towel.

Make sure to use your facial scrub only once a week!  Scrubs are not an everyday product.

“Conceptualizing and developing products has always been my favorite hobby. For many years the most popular products at my spa were custom blended by me in small batches. I don’t follow trends when I develop new products, instead concepts come to me that serve a specific and important purpose in the matters of skin care”-Ole Henriksen

This week one lucky winner will have pumpkin fresh skin with the Sugar Glow face scrub from Ole Henriksen.

  1. I’ll be in Hong Kong for November and December, so luckily I will not have to battle much dryness. Using a scrub will be an amazing addition to my routine, though. Gentle cleanser, gentle astringent, and moisture moisture moisture. Thanks again, Christie! xoxo

  2. I do exfoliate, but I get lazy about weekly masks. I plan on getting a facial each month and making a point of keeping up with weekly masks to keep my skin looking fresh this winter. First one I want to try is a pumpkin facial! I love pumpkin and Ole Henriksen!

  3. I plan to keep my skin looking fresh this winter by drinking a lot of water!! Also using plenty of face lotion!!
