Charge It!

Too often with work and travel I find myself in the awkward position of trying to locate a place to charge my phone.

Answering emails, tweeting, checking facebook and posting to instagram takes its toll on a battery about midday, at that point I enter into a sweat-filled full-on panic attack trying to locate an outlet.

I have perfected this search for an outlet to an art.  The second I enter a room I scan for outlets- kind of like looking for the hidden Mickey Mouse on rides at Disneyland- the Disneyland reference will make sense in a minute.

This “hobby” of mine has brought me to some interesting spots- I have charged in back hallways at the mall, in hidden outlets under tables in restaurants, dressing rooms, behind bars and even in public restrooms.

Last weekend I took a trip to Disneyland (yep there it is, lol) and I knew that the hunt for an outlet there would be a horrific waking nightmare so I wanted to go fully armed.

After a little research and some advice from my techie pals I purchased a My Charge The Hub 6000.

RFAM-0229

The Hub 6000 features built-in cables and connectors for smartphones, tablets, e-readers and more.  Get up to 27 hours of additional talk time for your devices, as well as integrated, quick-charge wall prongs.

Super easy to use, charge The Hub 6000 in a wall outlet the night before then toss it in your bag and you are ready to go!

I love that it has different connectors!  While at Disneyland we charged my sister and my husband’s iphone 4s, my iphone 5 and my brother-in-laws ipad (all of which have different size charging ports) while waiting in line for rides and we never ran out of juice!

My Charge The Hub 6000.  I am impressed and obsessed!  Click below to get one for yourself!

  1. That’s freaking awesome! Although I am nowhere near as busy as you I do have a bad habit of checking my phone often throughout the day, especially on long car rides. I love that this is so simple and affordable! Will definitely have to consider it when we take our road trip in late summer.

  2. OMG, this is awesome! Definitely need this between me and the hubs – his phone is ALWAYS dying. And how perfect for those vacation style days where you’re out and about all day long!

  3. We have had one of these for a while – Hubby uses it on the golf course, I use it when I’m out for the day with the munchkin (partly from me using it for ‘grown up’ stuff and partly from her wanting to watch ‘Dora’). These things are a God send, relatively inexpensive and small. Love, love, love them.

  4. I absolutely LOVE and NEED these portable chargers. They are so amazing and convenient and yes, keep you from missing out on important calls, texts and emails while out and about. My iPhone hardly holds a charge anymore these days, especially when I am in super busy spots like on the Strip or in a mall or hotel. Love the look of this one!

  5. That’s awesome. I had the charging case by Mophie for my last iPhone, but I like that this is a desperate unit that I could make Susie carry around in her purse!

  6. I would give those 27 hours a workout. That is my biggest thing when traveling – a charged phone. Cool to know, not sure I get that much with my GoGreen. I have additional batteries too…See…so sad! Thanks for this 411.

  7. Sounds like this charger can keep you going for a while. I have not jumped in and gotten a portable charger yet, but I need to. Bookmarking your post for reference later. Thanks!
