Love at First Spritz: Boy Chanel

Ever since Chanel’s newest Les Exclusifs scent, Boy Chanel, launched in June I have been dying to spritz it.

Boy Chanel is Oliver Polge’s second fragrance creation for Chanel’s Les Exclusifs collection.

The fragrance is named for Arthur “Boy” Capel, Gabrielle Chanel’s lover and benefactor.

Polge likens the effect of the scent to a woman pulling on her boyfriend’s shirt—a masculine article or clothing, but undeniably sexy on a woman.

Last week I popped into the Chanel Beauty Boutique at the Forum Shops at Caesars where I finally got my hands on this “where has it been all my life” scent.

The fragrance delivers every bit of the duality it promises. Built around a masculine fougère accord, it blends lavender with rose geranium — grown in Pégomas, near Grasse, France, where Chanel sources other aromatic plants — along with coumarin and moss. There is also lemon and grapefruit zest, notes of rose, orange blossom, sandalwood and heliotropin, plus a hint of vanilla and musk accords.

It is fresh and feminine with an underscoring masculine element.  Exactly like two of the best smelling lovers ever mixing their scents.

I’m totally having a dreamy summer romance with Boy Chanel!

Visit the Chanel Boutique at The Forum Shops at Caesars and try this fab scent for yourself- I promise it will be love at first spritz!
