I LOVE shoes.

Always on the prowl for the perfect pair- sometimes I find the right shape but the heel is too low or I find the right color but the shape is all wrong or I find a gorgeous pair but they are way out of my price range.

The hunt is over ladies!  I discovered an AMAZING website where you can design your own shoes and have them shipped directly to your home!

Milk & Honey.

Milk & Honey is the brainchild of two sisters with a passion for shoes.  Ilissa and Dorian Howard  fell in love with the world of beautiful designer shoes, but soon realized two things, “One, we didn’t want to have to take out second mortgages to support our shoe habit and two, sometimes we just couldn’t find what we wanted and that was not okay.  So being as dedicated as we are to the plight, we figured out a way to get our perfect shoe.  When we just couldn’t keep it a secret any longer we created Milk & Honey to introduce the idea of affordable custom made shoes to women everywhere!”

Creating you own shoes with Milk & Honey is super easy and fun!  You get to see your creation each step of they way as you add, change, and subtract different elements.

Here’s how I designed my own haute pair.

First  select the style of shoe you want.  Pumps, flats, or sandals..its up to you!

I chose a pump.

Next,  select the toe style.

I chose peep-toe.

Next select backs & straps, any piping & trim, and embellishments.

I decided to keep it sleek with a sling back, no piping or embellishemnts.

Now it’s time to choose the heel type and height.

I chose a 4″ platform.

Now you really get to see your design come to life!  Choose the texture and color for the shoe.  You can choose from a rainbow of colors in leather, patent, snakeskin, pressed snakeskin,pony, croc, metallic, silk, fabric, glitter, suede, velvet, PLUS faux leather, patent and snakeskin options for vegans!

I have been dying for a certain pair of red bottomed designer shoes in a confetti glitter that just aren’t in my budget right now, so when I saw the dark confetti option I knew thats what I was going with!

Now your all done.  Save your shoe and move through the payment process!

(TIP: when selecting size go up 1/2 a size, these fit like couture shoes and run a bit small)

Sit back and wait a few weeks for your haute shoe design to be crafted. (TIP: If you are ordering for a specific event make sure to place your order at least 6 to 8 weeks BEFORE you need the shoes to ensure they will arrive in time…afterall custom quality shoes can’t be crafted overnight!).
