Puffer Coats, there are very few items that can keep you as warm and toasty during the winter months as a puffer coat and this season you are going to see them pretty much everywhere.

Designers from A to Z showcased redefined puffers on the runways this season with cool new takes on the warm winter staple. Tory Burch had shearling lined puffers, Philip Lim played with mixed plaid puffers and Moncler through their Genius project has partnered with heavy hitters such as Valentino, Off-White, Simone Rocha and Craig Green to re-imagine their iconic puffer jacket!

OK so it’s a “thing”.  But as we all know trends can be tough to translate from the runway to reality and while an inflated-looking outerwear pick protects you from the elements, it can also make you feel kind of like a Macy’s Holiday Parade float.

So, what’s the secret to keeping it chic while staying practical and warm in your puffy piece? It’s all in the styling, of course.

The easiest way to rock the classic puffer coat is with a sporty/feminine mash-up. Balance it with items like sneakers, floral frocks and sleek pumps or even a sequined skirt to give the puffer a sophisticated spin.  Give it shape by using a belt bag to cinch the waist or rock it Balenciaga style by slipping it off both shoulders to create a V-type neckline.

When a coat trend is as practical as it is fun to wear, it’s a keeper and right now, that item is the puffer. Whether you choose a Puffer Coat that is bright and bold, luxe and metallic, sleek and shiny, cropped, mid-length, belted or topped with a hood—you’ll be warm, comfy and chic while wearing this hot trend on repeat all season long.

  1. I’m totally into puffers. They are warm and so easy to wear. The bright green puffer paired with the red belt bag has such style. Perfect look for the dreary winter months ahead!
