In honor of April being Earth Month each week I am going to introduce you to some of my TOP Eco-friendly and sustainable fashion finds!
At the top if my list is a collaboration from Stila and E Live from the Red Carpet: the Solar Illuminated Refillable Compact and Powder Duo!
The first of it’s kind this innovative beauty is made from recycled plastic, the energy-efficient palette comprises a mini- photovoltaic panel that charges up to 1,000 times for roughly five years of preening.
Plus, it’s refillable, which means less packaging waste ends up moldering in the landfill.
Super easy to use the glass solar cell panel can be charged in direct sunlight or ambient room light and a tiny green star will light up on the cover indicating that the compact is charged and ready to go.
Since it can be charged from indirect sunlight, it becomes the perfect purse companion for last minute touch-ups and is a eco-conscious conversation piece!

Since I usually need to refresh my cosmetics and beauty supplies around this time, I’m changing over to products that are as green and planet/animal friendly as I can get them. Also, while I’ve been doing my spring cleaning, I’m trying to give away to friends or donate to charities in an effort to keep things out of the landfill. It sounds silly, but I get really excited when I do something that’s on the green side of consumerism!
Where do you find these great products?!?! What a clever idea!
wow this is an amazing product. I must get some of this next time I am at Sephora. What me and my family do to be green is we recycle almost everything we can. We also save items to be reused for an arts n crafts project with my daughter or up-cycle clothing into jewelry or another garment,
Solar powered? That’s innovative! This would be great to use after I run a race. I could power it up while I run and then use it to freshen up for post race pics!
