Sunglass Trends from Vision Expo 2016

This week I attended the International Vision Expo in Las Vegas where I got the 411 on the hottest trends in specs and sunnies!

The buzz words this season are “Eccentricity” and “Relics Unraveled”.

Eccentricity is all about making a statement with  never-done-before silhouettes, atypical color treatments and flashy lenses while Relics Unraveled celebrates yesteryear through traditionally vintage frames paired with contemporary accents.

I walked the show floor for hours, took tons of photos and tried on endless amounts of shades but kept coming back to one booth: Marchon.

New York based Marchon manufactures and distributes eyewear for some of the hottest brands out there including ETRO, Chloe, DVF, MCM, Valentino and Ferragamo just to name a few!

Totally obsessed I narrowed down my findings from the expo to 4 sunnie styles that I rate as the hottest shades from the Expo- and they were ALL at the Marchon Booth.

Let’s kick it off with my new OBSESSION from Fashion mega-brand MCM. The MCM637S sunglasses.

Probably my top rated shade from the show.  While I was trying this one on 3 people passing the booth stopped to tell me how amazing it was.  The color is spectacular and the teacup shape with gold accent brows sit perfectly on the face while making a statement that can’t be ignored.

Hold onto your boho bottoms ladies.

The 60s and 70s have been all the rage the past few seasons in fashion which has spilled over into shoes, jewels and of course sunglasses.

No one and I mean no one does a more perfect nod to retro styling than  free-spirited fashion house Chloe.

The Carlina sunglasses’ silhouette is iconic to Chloe (they do it every season) but there is just something so ultra perfect about it time and time again.  Funky, vintage-looking and fun these babies embody everything I love about the brand.

I don’t think you can ever go wrong with a cat-eye and this season DVF delivers one that is pure purrrr-fection.

The Norah Cat Eye has a feminine cat eye silhouette framed by a luxe gold rim which looks amazing on every face shape.

Finishing up my list is one more head-turner from MCM the Hayden.

This unique frame takes the bridge of the nose piece and raises it to the brow creating a really cool retro meets modern effect.

Polarized mirror lenses finish off these almost steampunk vibed sunnies.

I didn’t keep all the sunglasses fun for myself!  I brought you something back!

Fresh from the show, I will be giving this away this pair of GORGEOUS ETRO sunglasses on INSTAGRAM.

Contest begins Thursday Sept. 15th and ends Sunday Sept.18th at 10pm PST.  Winner will be announced via private message on INSTAGRAM.
