Do you love Pumpkin Spice Lattes so much that you wish you could bathe in them? Well with this easy Pumpkin Spice Bath Salts DIY you literally can!
Bath Salts are one of my favorite things to mix up at home. Not only do they make a great do-it-yourself project, they are super easy to make and are the perfect DIY gift for just about any occasion.
Soaking in a hot bath is one of the best and easiest ways to relieve tension and reduce stress. adding Bath Salts to that bath can help stimulate circulation, ease muscle cramps, relieve stiffness in joints and soothe achy, overworked legs and feet
The three key ingredients you need in bath salts are:
- Epsom Salt (aka magnesium sulfate) technically isn’t salt at all. But for the purposes of bath salts, we call Epsom salts “salt”. Epsom salt dissolves nicely in hot water and releases magnesium and sulfate ions, which helps relieve muscle tension.
- Coarse Sea Salt makes the water more buoyant for a pleasant bath experience in the bath, and many believe that the minerals in sea salt are beneficial to your body. I love the using coarse Pink Himalayan Sea Salt because it’s natural hue is beautiful, it’s mineral rich and it has antimicrobial properties which help detoxify your body (they are also great for those with skin conditions).
- Baking Soda or sodium bicarbonate, provides a naturally alkaline substance with a reputation for helping to remove toxins. Yep, this is the same stuff you use in baking and to freshen your refrigerator.
After that it’s all about adding different herbs and oils to “flavor” your mix.
Today, it’s all about PUMPKIN scents!
