Lookin’ for T-shirts in all the Wrong Places

I’ve been lookin’ for t-shirts in all the wrong places…

No, it’s not the lyrics to a country song it’s me lamenting on all the ways I have gone wrong seeking out the perfect tee.  In case you haven’t noticed from my OOTD’s I am a HUGE wearer of band and graphic tees. I pair them with just about everything- a flouncy skirt, jeans for work, even with suiting- but the truth is a good tee, like a good man, is hard to find.

I know EXACTLY what I want.

I like my T-shirts to be a little oversized, but not too much. I want the sleeves to sit midway on my arm- no cap sleeves, and a fit that’s partly masculine in shape. I don’t like scoop necks, and no crop tees please.

It has to be the right length, have the right fit, the right kind of sleeves and of course be unique.  It has to last!  I don’t want a stretched out neck or stretched out silhouette in a few weeks.  I want me tee to get even better with age.

I have scoured the entire retail scene on the hunt for great tees (going wrong at every turn) and thought I had looked everywhere until I stumbled into Boot Barn looking for something for a shoot and discovered a perfect fitting t-shirt wonderland.

Sitting there innocently on a table folded neatly into stacks were the most wonderful tees. One part retro, one part boho and a whole lotta personality.

These tee’s fit like a dream, wash really well, keep their shape and always gather complements!

Seriously, if you are looking to up your t-shirt game for the season, the next time you are driving past a Boot Barn, stop the car, head in and check out their tees.
