Black Friday Bloody Mary

I know most bloggers are posting Black Friday Sale Alerts and Round Ups on the best deals but I thought it was more important to focus on what happens BEFORE you head out shopping on Black Friday- the pre-game if you will.

Shopping and cocktails are two of my most favorite things and what better day to combine them than on the most magical shopping day of the year, Black Friday, with an easy and delicious pre-shopping cocktail using your Thanksgiving Leftovers- a Black Friday Bloody Mary!

Bloody Marys are one of my favorite brunchy cocktails because they have all the components of my favorite foods: sodium, spicy, made of tomatoes, and garnished with pretty much anything you can find! They are a cocktail with a built-in snack! Who doesn’t love that!

Bloody Mary’s are also totally fun to make, you can get so creative!  I have seen them topped with bacon, shrimp and even burgers and sipped them garnished with everything pickled under the sun! As long as you have a acidic component, a salty component, a spicy component and a savory component you really can’t go wrong.

For this recipe I used Agalima Organic Bloody Mary Mix– it’s got everything you need for the perfect Bloody Mary (Roma tomatoes, smoky chipotle peppers, hot horseradish and house-made Worcestershire).  Spicy, salty and sweet it’s pre-mixed and organic which makes crafting this Black Friday Bloody Mary so totally easy.

Black Friday Bloody Mary

Ingredients:

  • 8oz Agalima Organic Bloody Mary Mix
  • 1-2oz Vodka
  • Skewers
  • Leftover Roasted Veggies
  • Leftover Stuffing formed into bite size balls
  • Fresh Rosemary
  • Thyme
  • Sage

Start by filling a tall glass with ice.

Pour the Vodka into the glass followed by the Agalima Bloody Mary Mix.

Drop a couple sage leaves into the glass and stir.

Using a skewer make a small kabob of the roasted veggies and stuffing balls. Make sure that your veggie’s don’t dip too far below the drinks surface.

Finally garnish your masterpiece with fresh Rosemary and Thyme sprigs- let them stick out of the glass like you would normally do for celery.

Sip, enjoy then uber to your shopping or have a friend drop you off- because who wants to deal with parking anyway right!
