FARMACY, the supercharged skincare range, is one of those brands you can’t help but fall head over heels in love with.

It all began with a mutant flower. In 1999, Mark Veeder noticed a strange green bloom among the purple echinacea plants growing on his garden in upstate New York. He sent the strange flower to several horticultural labs for analysis. The scientists informed him he’d found a new genus of echinacea. Tests also showed the plant Veeder discovered had set a new record for high levels of cichoric acid, a plant chemical renowned for its antioxidant effects. It boasts a 300 percent higher concentration of cichoric acid than any other echinacea purpurea on the market.

He named this new plant Echinacea GreenEnvy and partnered with farming expert Robert Beyfuss to start growing the plant at scale. Since 2014, they’ve been producing eco-chic skincare products with a lab in New Jersey, maximizing the benefits of the natural ingredients by pairing them with key man-made components.

They cultivate and farm their own ingredients – making them among the freshest and most potent around – which are then activated in the lab to maximize their skin care benefits. The ‘hero’ ingredient throughout the range is their patented Echinacea GreenEnvy complex – an antioxidant-rich powerhouse that works to firm the skin and protects from the ageing effects of free radicals.

BrandBacker sent me FARMACY’s cult classic Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm to test drive.

I am a HUGE fan of cleansing balms and always looking for natural/organic beauty products so I was super excited to try this one out.

Formulated with antioxidant-rich Echinacea GreenEnvy extract, sunflower oil, ginger root oil, and moringa extract, it is nothing short of amazing!

The luxe balm is a minty-green, melts-in-your-fingertips balm made with nourishing oils, like sunflower and ginger root, along with papaya extract, a natural exfoliator, to remove every trace of makeup (even waterproof mascara AND my NARS Powermatte lip pigment (ladies you know how hard that one is to remove).

It also targets dirt, grime, free radicals and buildup from pollution.

The balm has a soft citrus limey/orange fragrance and melts upon contact with skin.

Apply to dry skin and massage in- I applied over my lashes as well to remove my mascara and eye makeup. It will break down and transform to an oil upon contact.

After rinsing with water, my makeup had magically vanished and my skin felt softened and clean without any tightness. It also left my skin feeling super hydrated- even BEFORE I added my moisturizer.

I am in LOVE with this little natural wonder and am sure it will now be a permanent part of my makeup regime.

Well hello daylight savings time.

I think we can all agree we need a little extra caffeination this week!
