Holiday Gifts at Forum Shops

If you are a regular reader of my blog you know how deep my love runs for fragrance brand House of CREED.

My love affair with the brand began a few years ago when I was introduced to Aventus.

It is a scent created for men but I am drawn to more masculine scents and don’t really pay attention to “his” and “hers”, I wear what I like.

For those of you that aren’t familiar with the brand here is the Cliff Notes version:

The House of Creed is a seven-generation family of fine perfume makers. Their processes are age old and The House of Creed is the only fragrance house to rely on a 4,000-year old infusion technique to capture the highest concentration of natural essential oils.

It all began in 1760 when James Henry Creed began as a custom tailor and leather goods maker to the English Royal Court, The House of Creed turned perfumer in 1780 when King George III—enamored by a pair of Creed scented gloves—commissioned Creed’s first royal fragrance: a rich mix of mandarin, ambergris and sandalwood, christened Royal English Leather.

CREED Home Fragrances

This season CREED has thrown it’s bespoke hat into the home fragrances ring. The 17 piece home collection includes both hand-poured beeswax scented candles and luxe home sprays  inspired by destinations where master perfumer Oliver Creed has found ingredients for their iconic scents.  Creed’s home fragrances instantly fill your home with exotic scents and just one spritz will last for hours! The PERFECT Gift for the Fragrance lover in your life and the ULTIMATE Hostess Gift!

Aventus is totally captivating and of course because it’s CREED there is a story behind it.  Aventus, was inspired by the life of Napoleon Bonaparte.  When creating the scent Oliver CREED sourced ingredients that had a connection to the emperor. He used birch of Louisiana, a state that was once ruled by Napoleon and blackcurrant from the Mediterranean island of Corsica – Napoleon’s place of birth.  The scent opens slightly sweet and fresh with apple and pineapple that later develops into pleasantly woody notes with a hint of vanilla.

Now that you are all caught up, I have exciting news.  CREED has relocated and reimagined their Las Vegas Boutique inside the Forum Shops in Las Vegas into an enchanting new fragrance wonderland  which boasts a total of 1,381 square feet –the brand’s largest boutique in North America.

The new location is the first to house a private VIP room for top clients. Catering to global fragrance connoisseurs who love travel and appreciate artisanal scents, this new boutique immerses guests in the world of Creed with an open concept, exclusive product offerings available only at the boutique and is complete colorful, one-of-a-kind abstract paintings by Sixth Generation Master Perfumer Olivier Creed.

Stop in, check it out and give a few fragrances a spritz, you will fall in love!

House of CREED’s new boutique is located inside the Forum Shops near John Hardy.

John Hardy- Gifts for Good

John Hardy is one of the hottest, most talked about fashion jewelry designers today…and not just because he creates beautiful pieces. But also, the background of his company is really one-of-a-kind.

Sustainable, environmentally friendly (they use 100% reclaimed silver) and one of the most heart-felt truly caring companies around John Hardy’s inspiration comes from one of the most beautiful, serene places in the world- Bali. His love of the Balinese people and community has been the basis of the jewelry empire. Not only does the company consistently look to innovate with designs, they are also always thinking of ways to give back to the community. By creating programs like Jobs For Life and “Wear bamboo, plant bamboo,” John Hardy has established itsself as one of the most humanitarian companies around.

They have a totally innovative program called “Jobs For Life”. Through this program, they collaborates with local orphanages to create employment opportunities for children, especially girls. John Hardy pays for students’ school fees from the last two years of high school and provides them with an apprenticeship at the John Hardy Bali compound. They work to develop good health care benefits for employs and allows a rare opportunity for women to work from home. The goal of this program is to support severely disadvantaged Balinese children whose families did not have the means to feed, house or support them through school with the hope that they will truly find a “job for life” at John Hardy.

All that PLUS the jewelry is absolutely exquisite- all hand made in Bali makes John Hardy a gift that is truly from the heart this season.

Coach Gifts- that are Chic

OK you all know of my renewed love for Coach, each season it just keeps getting better and better.

For the Holidays Coach has released the Horse and Carriage Collection. Nostalgic and new—the beloved Coach motif just became a pattern… and it’s Ah-mazing.

The signature Horse & Carriage motif was first introduced in the 1950s and the new bags reimagine it in the form of cool, colorful patterns.

Forum Shops Spring Blogger Event Recap

Forum Shops Spring Blogger Event Recap

Last week myself and 7 of Las Vegas’ top Influencers/Bloggers were hosted by the Forum Shops at Caesars for a Spring shopping tour.

One of my favorite things to do is to meet up with other bloggers to share insights, chat about how much we all hate algorithms (lol), have a few cocktails and of course SHOP- everything really is better with friends right!  If you follow me on Instagram you saw snippets of our tour in my stories but now it’s time for the main event.

We dubbed this “the Champagne Campaign” because there was yummy Champagne and Mimosa’s at every stop!

First up was Rimowa.  A leader in technology, known for their light and strong grooved luggage, this iconic German company was the first to use aluminum and then in later years polycarbonate in its designs. They also pioneers the use of the patented, ball bearing-mounted Multiwheel system. With it, even heavy cases can be turned and rotated effortlessly in any direction.

Seriously these babies wheel around like a dream!  I was amazed at how easy it was to maneuver this suitcase even in a tight space.  I am constantly dragging suitcases around packed full of wardrobe and struggling with them- unable to turn and always them tipping over- pulling this baby was like going from driving a 15 passenger van to a sleek sports car!  From Flintstones to Jetsons…..I know what my next investment piece will be!

Forum Shops Spring Blogger Event Recap

Rimowa has these fun  sticker books- and a wall of cool stickers like the Las Vegas one on the suitcase above that let you customize and add some flair to your piece.

They set our group loose with the stickers to decorate a piece and this was our creation…….

Next up was Club Monaco.  I have been a HUGE fan of Club Monaco for decades but we never had one here in Las Vegas until recently!

Known for its thoughtfully designed, purposeful collections featuring relevant, wearable pieces, fine fabrics and exceptional fits this high street retailer offers luxe pieces at affordable prices.

The Spring 2019 Club Monaco Collection is called “Breath of Fresh Air” which focuses on breezy dresses, lightweight knitwear and feather light fabrics. A color palette of ocean greens and tranquil blues works perfectly for the spring season.

I’ve been all-in on neutrals lately and Club Monaco serves it up in glorious waves!  You saw the GORGEOUS ocean-hued dress I got at this event in my OOTD last week. I can’t even explain how luxe the fabric feels- you really need to pop into the store and touch it for yourself.

Onto Robert Graham.

Robert Graham is all about COLOR.  Their instantly identifiable shirts crafted with unique garment-making techniques and complex textile patterns are the top choice of men who like a little eclectic pop to their look but did you know they launched a WOMENS collection … and that it’s so dang amazing.

Forum Shops Spring Blogger Event Recap

My jaw dropped when I saw this collection.  I had no idea Robert Graham had even launched a womens collection! The patterns, the colors, the prints!  My print mixing loving self was in heaven.

The collection includes, wrap dresses, tailored shirts, jackets, kimono tops, palazzo pants, shorts and fun Hawaiian style camp shirts in tropical colors and textures with boldly adventurous patterns and classic yet unexpected twists.  Its the perfect blending of a feminine viewpoint with the spirit, color and charismatic style that defines Robert Graham.

I was totally obsessed with the womens collection but these mens swim trucks were also a standout for me.

When you first look at them they are sold but once they get wet they reveal a spray paint wall graffiti print with the RG logo.  So fun!

We wrapped the tour up at one of my favorite dining spots, Sushi Roku who just launched a VEGAN OMAKASE Menu- yes my Vegan friends you can have a four course Omakase VEGAN meal at Sushi Roku and it’s delish.

We sampled the yummy Vegan menu which I really enjoyed.  It was light but totally filling, satisfying and packed full of flavor.

Then we were treated to a Sushi making class by Sushi Roku’s Head Sushi Chef where we learned the secret to great sushi is using Japanese rice- which is grown in California lol.  Japanese rice has a short polish grain which is what makes it perfect for sushi.

This event was one of the most amazing whirl-wind tours I have ever been on. Thank you so much to The Forum Shops for putting together such a fun series of activities!

Did you discover something new in this post?  What will be your next stop at The Forum Shops?

Morgan Miller: The Queen of Sole

Walking through the  Forum Shops in Las Vegas I stumbled upon something magical happening in a store window.

Time seemed to stop as I stood mesmerized by what I saw.  Two cobblers expertly crafting beautiful shoes with grace and ease.  What was this wonderful emporium?  I had to go inside!

I grabbed the first person I saw and screamed “What is this place?”  She told me it was Morgan Miller, where you could design YOUR OWN SHOES and the cobblers would make them for you while you wait.

Whaaaaat?  How did I not know about this place!  It was a fashionista’s Disneyland!

After my in store shoe-phoria I had to know more so I went straight to the source; Miami-based designer Morgan Miller- The Queen of Sole to get the skinny on my Shoe-tacular discovery!

Q: What inspired you to invent this brilliant concept?

MM: Growing up in the fashion business, I was always very exposed to the on-goings in the fashion world through my father. While traveling to Italy with him when I was six,  I had a pair of Capri-style sandals crafted on my feet. That experience inspired  and motivated me and when I graduated college I started to develop my concept where we offer instant customization and design for all different types of shoes. We opened our first store in 06 in South Beach.  (Millers father manufactured for such luxury brands as Gucci, Canali and Zilli.  As a child she often accompanied him to fashion weeks and trade shows around the world.)

Q: Walk me through the process.  What happens when you step into a Morgan Miller store?

MM: You choose your soles, straps and accessories and our couture cobblers craft them to your feet while you wait. Soles span from flats to wedges to kitten heels and even stilettos.
Straps can be anything from denim to leather of all treatments_ perforated, metallic, paralyzed, stamped and embossed. And we specialize in exotics- anything from lizard, python, ostrich to American alligator.
Buckles and accessories are anything from a simple bamboo ring to as bling as a Swarovski buckle.

Q:  I styled a fashion layout recently and we had Morgan Miller cobblers create some shoes for our shoot.  The model told me they were the most comfortable shoes she had EVER worn.  She couldn’t wait to get the other shoes from the shoot off and get back into the Morgan Miller’s.  Why are they so comfortable?

MM: They are fit specially to your feet, no one else’s and  we have a padding option that creates a very comfortable feeling as well.

Q: What is the average price of a pair of Morgan Miller shoes?

MM: From $150 to over $1000 depending on how you embellish and how creative you get!

Q: What are the benefits to designing your own shoe?

MM: You will have bragging rights to your own pair of shoes that no one else has.

Q: What is your advice to women when they come in to create a shoes for themselves?

MM: To get creative bring in your outfit that you need to create shoes for… Be yourself and design something that you can’t find in conventional shoe stores!

With locations in South Beach and Las Vegas you can visit  stores on both coasts!

TIP: A gift card from Morgan Miller is THE perfect present for the finicky fashionista!  She will ooh and awe at what a discovery you have made!

Morgan Miller gives every Fashion Dreamer the opportunity to be their own “Christian Louboutin”.  With MM your shoes will never be too tight, too small or the same as anyone else’s ever again!  They will be as unique as YOU!
