Last weekend I spent a fun filled day with my blogging babes and The Forum Shops at Caesars.
We received a hosted tour of the shops and a pre-fall peek into some of the season’s must-have’s.
Our first stop was at DIOR Makeup where we arrived perfectly timed with the launch of DIOR JOY which landed in boutiques just a few days ago!
JOY is the first new fragrance DIOR has launched in over 12 years so you can imagine how anxiously awaited it has been. The scent combines zested Bergamot and Mandarin with Grasse Rose, Jasmine, warm creamy sandalwood and a whisper of musk.
The bottle has a clean, modern design and Jennifer Lawrence is the face of the campaign. Even though I am more of a cologne than an Eau de Parfum kind of gal I really enjoyed the scent. It’s clean, modern and ultra mood boosting. It has a wonderful citrus base so it isn’t too “perfumey” it’s a scent I would totally rock.
Ever tried on a scent, purchased it and then walked out of the store only to learn about 10 minutes later after the scent develops that it doesn’t mesh with your body chemistry? Well the experts at DIOR taught us how to best try a scent. Once you spritz it on a pulse point press down with three of your finger’s on top of the scent for about 20 seconds to warm the fragrance. That is how you will achieve the “true” way the scent will develop with your body chemistry.
After a spritz, spritz and some pics we were off to a pre-fall shoe preview at Stuart Weitzman.
Boots, boots so many scrumptious boots! I am OBSESSED with the Veruka bootie. Seriously I only had eyes for it and took photos of it in every color-way.
It combines the edginess of classic combat boots with the fashion forward right-nowness of sock booties. More refined than rugged, the mid-calf Veruka boots were designed with a leather stretch sock detail for a subtly slouchy silhouette. They feature leather wraparound laces, the Stuart Weitzman signature metal square studs and a sleek rounded block heel.
One of my favorite things about Stuart Weitzman is their innovate designs and stretch features to their boots. They are one of the few brands whose OTK (Over the knee) and OTC (over the calf) boots fit EVERY BODY TYPE because they design them with stretch! They are also one of only about 3 designer brands that in addition to regular sizing also carry fringe sizes in shoes (size under 5 and over 10).
Another standout is the SW-612 Sneaker. Talk about chic comfort! Distinguished by a sock-like silhouette and finished with leather-wrapped elastic ruching detail around the ankle, leather pull tab topped with the SW signature metal square stud and miniature square stud on the back of the sole. These sport-chic stars feature a removable insole and flexible construction — they are designed to be folded for easy storage and effortless travel plus they look super cool!
…and more shoes!
Our next stop was Sam Edelman. I have been blog posting, Instagramming and all around non-stop talking about animal prints for Fall 2018.
One, if not THE, biggest shoe trends for the season Sam Edleman offers some chic “off duty” and work friendly animal print options.
I am in love with the Loraine Loafer. Sophisticated and chic the sleek sole and gold hardware make this menswear inspired loafer a perfect paring for power suiting, straight leg trousers and another seasonal must-have the turtleneck.
Our last fashion stop of the day was one of my personal favorite clothing brands Ted Baker.
Focusing on moody florals, figure flattering silhouettes, lady-like details and ruffles the Ted Baker Fall 2018 Collection is Oh-so-Christie.
The collection combines sophisticated colors with lush and luxurious fabrics to create ultra-feminine looks in a color palette of jewel tones includeing burgundy, teal, emerald green and vibrant orange, as well as pops of electric blues, acid yellow and fresh neon pink.
Seriously I would wear, and most likely will wear, everything in this collection. Take a peek for yourself….
Gents I didn’t forget about you!
Animal Prints and Motifs are a HUGE Fall 2018 trend and Ted Baker has mastered it! From prowling panthers to exotic birds in the form of sharply tailored silhouettes and elegant casual basics. The color palette, similar to the womens collection, features teal, vibrant orange, emerald green, black and dark purple mixed with a dash of Ted’s whimsical humor.
We finished the day with the most AMAZING lunch at Sushi Roku.
