The Age of Bermuda

If you heard a loud collective sigh of relief when the Spring Trends hit stores it was all of us ladies that are ABOVE a size 4 and OVER 25 years of age celebrating the departure of the short-short, butt cheek baring trend of last summer and welcoming in the age of Bermuda!

Thank you Fashion Gods!  Bermuda shorts are a short we can actually wear!

These aren’t the quirky weird tourist Bermuda shorts your parents wore, these shorts are casual, chic and ultra cool.  Dress them down for day, with heels for night or add a blazer to create one of this seasons other hot trends the short suit.

Style Tip: When selecting a Bermuda short don’t let volume or length overwhelm your look and  body type.  Bermuda shorts should hit just above the knee (not go past it) and they should drop straight from the hip to the knee.  Not super baggy, not super tight but sartorially just right.

What are your thoughts?  Will you be entering the Age of Bermuda this summer?

  1. It’s about time Bermuda shorts came back into fashion. I’ve always loved its classy look. And like you said, it offers a great reprieve from those super short shorts showing off butt cheeks. Thank goodness!

  2. I love this style. So chic and always reminds me of vacationing! I have always thought that this particular style looks so good on twiggy long legs too. Not sure why all those girls {in Vegas especially} love showing so much. I love that green Vera Wang. Lovely. Thanks for the good news!

  3. Bermuda’s are one of my favorite go to’s for summer because I can wear heels and look even taller. Plus, they’re just beautiful! Loving all the different fabrics….yay for spring.
