Caring for your Ugly Christmas Sweater with Dryel

Caring for your Ugly Christmas Sweater with Dryel

Ugly Christmas sweaters are as synonymous with the holidays as Santa Claus, reindeer and fruit cake!

While Ugly Christmas Sweaters have been around for decades (I have the family photos to prove it), it’s only recently that they have become super-trendy.

Just about everyone is in on the deliberately ugly holiday wear game.  It has become a sort of competition on whose sweater is truly the “ugliest” and which spurs the most conversation and laughs.

I’m sure you’ve had invites and maybe have already attended some “Ugly Sweater” parties and pub crawls. I’ve already worn mine 4 or 5 times times this season!

While super fun and festive to wear one of the drawbacks to Ugly Christmas Sweaters is that you are usually wearing them in a “party” atmosphere which means food, drinks and lots of spills.

You can’t just toss that ugly sweater in the wash!  Not only do knits need “extra” care those gorgeously ugly sweaters usually have sequins, appliques, bells, tinsel and all forms of detailing on them that require special attention when washing which is why you need Dryel.

Dryel is the ultimate stress free Ugly Christmas Sweater companion.

I have touted the total awesomeness of this product to you all year but for those who may have missed it…. Dryel is a convenient at-home Dry Cleaning system that safely steams and cleans soils, stains and odors, while removing wrinkles and saving both time and money.

The Savings of Dryel

If you watch my Instagram Stories or my Facebook Live’s you know I am a HUGE fan of the Dryel at Home Dry Cleaning System.

I’ve blogged about it, done videos about it and spread the word everywhere I can about how well it works but I haven’t really discussed how much it saves you both in time AND money!

“How Much Do I Really Save”?

I am a Fashion Stylist, so laundry/dry cleaning is my middle name.  I have tried just about every option out there and Dryel has become my go-to solution.

The savings I get from Dryel come not only in monetary means but also in time and convenience.

Too often, I simply just don’t have the time to make the trip to the dry cleaner, drop off clothing, wait 2-3 days to get it back then take another trip to pick it back up.

There are situations where I need to bring the same wardrobe back for a second day of shooting and after wrapping at 11pm and having to be back on set at 7am there is no time for a trip to the dry cleaner.

With Dryel, I can take the pieces home stress free, zip them up in the reusable Dryel fabric protection bag along with 1 ULTRAcleaning™ cloth.  Tumble in dryer on Medium heat for 15 minutes to renew and refresh or for 30 minutes to deep clean. Then remove, hang and they are ready to rock another 12 hour day!

Dryel also saves me BIG on money.  Let’s break it down with a little grammar school math problem:

If your Dry Cleaner charges you $5 per blouse and $5 per pant and you have 4 blouses and 1 pant that need to be cleaned how much would it cost?

ANSWER: $25 plus tax.

With 1 Dryel Starter Kit which costs $9.99 you could do this entire load plus still have enough product to to 3 more loads.  Basically you can clean this load 4 times for just $9.99 where-as at the Dry Cleaner it would cost $100.

Here’s the bottom line.  Dryel doesn’t completely eliminate the need for a dry cleaner but it does limit the amount of times you need to visit one and will save you both time and money.

I use mine weekly either in fashion emergency for work or myself and each and every time I reach for it I think “OMG I am so glad I have this”.

Check out the Dryel System for yourself.  I promise the ways it saves you are endless!
