I thought I would do something a little different for a Valentine’s Day post this year.  Instead of the typical Valentine’s Day Gift guide I wanted to share a little Girl Power Love.

If you’re like me, I’d rather support my girlfriends than compete with them! We stand taller when we stand together!

One of the goals I set for 2017 is to be more involved and more supporting of all my gal pals in their endeavors, attend their events, make time to grab a coffee (or better yet a cocktail) and commenting rather than just double tapping on thier social media.

I work in an industry that is dog eat dog -or should I say cat scratch cat lol- and it has taken me decades to step away from the mainstream competitive mindset and move towards a more supportive one.

Now don’t get me wrong- I still want to be the best I can be and I think competition is good thing, but it all in how you look at it.

Competition inspires us to stay at the top of our game, to keep thing fresh and it drives us to push harder and do better.

I just don’t think there is a need for cattiness or jealousy in competition.  You have to put that aside.  We each have our own talents and strengths.  It doesn’t mean one is better than the other- just different.

Amazing things happen when women support each other.  You go Girl!
