Spring Trends at Neiman Marcus

This morning I attended an intimate Spring Trends Brunch at Neiman Marcus.

I must say, taking a peek into our not so distant future is a breath of fresh air after all the dark layers upon bulky dark layers we will soon be shedding from winter!

Aside from the trends that seem to bloom every Spring such as florals and pastels,  Spring has some exciting unexpected must-haves.

Everything  from luxury backpacks to denim on denim and even midi heels!  This season its all about chic, sophisticated comfort!

Neiman Marcus Spring Backpacks

Backpack, backpack!  The backpack is back but this time it is all grown up, with a structured minimalist design.  Posh backpack’s are the “IT” bag of Spring.

Denim on Denim.  Can you believe it!  Style authorities  have been telling you for years not to mix denim and now here you have it, Spring 2014 is all about mixed denim.  Denim will take on new forms this Spring  from shirt dresses to oversize baseball tees, hybrid biker-denim jackets, skater dresses and even super chic overalls.  Experiment with textures and patterns and don’t be afraid to add a pop of color with accessories for a bold statement.

The NEW classic. The classic crisp white shirt gets a revamp this Spring with an elongated structure and  luxe detailing in a surprising array of fabrics from organza to linen and cotton.

Midi Heels!  Oh My Feet are loving it!  Higher than a kitten but definitely not a sky high stiletto, midi heels allow you to wear a heel comfortably all day long! Choose from either a chunky or slim heel silhouette- as long  as it’s a midi you can’t go wrong!

What do you think of Springs unexpected trends?  Which one will you be rocking this Spring?

  1. OMG! Love! Love! Love! The soft colors mixed with those frisky kitty Cat heels are an awesome colab. I’m gonna try that this spring. I love them like I love Myrtles Red Frilly Gloves (remember those). To! Die!
