The only thing I hate more than shopping for swimwear is shopping for activewear.
The activewear market is flooded with styles that produce silhouettes targeted at those who are already ridiculously fit and look as though they probably won a Beachbody competition or were on the cover of Muscle & Fitness Hers, which leaves the rest of us feeling utterly defeated before we even hit the gym.
So, my standard workout gear has devolved into baggy cut-off sweats and a t-shirt which are anything but flattering.
A couple weeks ago I received something in mail that has changed my entire outlook on activewear: Marika Magic Slimming Capri Leggings.
They had me at slimming.
These slimming capri’s are double lined, which means there are two layers of fabric that help make you look slimmer, while hiding other imperfections, like lumps, bumps, rolls, and panty lines.
Made of Slimming 2 way stretch fabric with flattering contour seaming and a sculpting power mesh lining along the thigh area these game-changing leggings produce an overall slender, toned and sleek silhouette! Despite having tummy control, the stomach/waist area doesn’t cut in at all which means you don’t have to worry about exposing any muffin top during your next downward dog!
The second I slipped into my Slimming Capri’s I fell in love. Not only were they ridiculously comfy but they gave me the illusion of having buns of steel! Holla!
They are so adorbs that I’m even considering removing the hanging clothing from my elliptical machine and actually working out!
Marika Magic Slimming Capri Leggings are available in sizes S-M-L-XL for just $55 at Marika.com
BONUS: Now through AUGUST 31, 2014 my readers can receive 30% off their Marika purchase at Marika.com with DISCOUNT CODE: MM30
Work it out ladies!
Great post! I’ll check it out.
I will take a pair please! I hate yoga pants because they don’t hold “anything in”
Never heard of Marika – will check them out!
You had me at hiding bumps, lumps, and panty lines. There is nothing worse that workout pants that require a thong. Who works out in a thong?
When I go for runs in my sweats and tees, I always feel like the cars driving by look at my giggly thighs and think “yeah, you should have started running a while ago.” And I respond to these imaginary taunts with “YOU (gasp) come run, (huff, puff) this is hard work!! (Gasp, gasp)”
Maybe with some work out gear for those of us chasing fitness, the imaginary naysayers will go away… thanks for the info!
My problem is that I like activewear too much… It’s far easier for me to shop for that than it is for regular clothing, which is a battle unto itself! 🙂
Best of all you look happy wearing them!
I am always on the hunt for cute work out clothes ! It actually motivated me more at the gym when I feel cute into workout clothes 🙂
