Fall is all about dark earthy colors.  

Shades brought in from the fields like rich pumpkin, earthy browns, maize yellows and my favorite harvest green.

It is also a time of duality.  Did you know it’s the only season with two names: Fall and Autumn.

Sometimes I appreciate a little duality in a look.

I may want to wear a dainty flouncy skirt but rock some combat boots with it.

Today’s look of the day culls a little new, a little old, a little edgy, a little demure and some ridiculously good shopping harvests to create an easy going fall vibe.

I started by pairing the unexpected.

By mixing and matching a lady-like style with an edgy one you can create a really organic look that exudes easy effortless style.

Buffalo checks and plaids are a key trend for fall and the perfect way to incorporate a little country harvest into your city look PLUS they instantly make you feel like you’re a character in a Hallmark Channel seasonal movie.

I nabbed this great jacket at an end of season sale last Spring for a crazy $19.00 and I scored the Kate Spade Saturday sunglasses this week at Nordstrom Rack for $15. (I have a link to them online below for $24.97 but I found them in store for $15)

Of course it’s always about the shoes and thank Fall, I can finally wear my boots again!

You have all seen these before but they are my favorites so here they are again and they will be on repeat all season.  The sexy AllSaints back zip boots my husband bought me last Christmas finish off my harvest vibe.
