Last weekend I attended a heart-warming holiday shopping tour to kick off the first day of The Forum Shops Great Give.

In the spirit of the season, The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace is celebrating their third annual GREAT GIVE from Dec. 1-12.

During the Great Give retailers partner with a variety of local and national non-profits, the 12-day shopping event benefits a wide variety of charities and causes. Each participating retailer has a designated charity and will either donate a portion of sales from specific items, donate a flat percentage of sales or raise funds directly to benefit their partner charity.

“Many of our retailers and restaurants take great pride in their efforts supporting a number of impactful charitable organizations and programs during this time of year,” said Maureen Crampton, Director of Business Development and Marketing at The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. “By partnering with our friends at CLASS and presenting a comprehensive program under the umbrella of the GREAT GIVE, we are able to collectively promote it and encourage visitors to shop and dine at their favorite places while supporting so many worthy causes during these 12 days.”

The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace has also designated that all coins from the iconic fountains will be donated to the Simon Youth Foundation – an organization dedicated to helping students graduate.

Anne Fontaine | Anne Fontaine Foundation

The Anne Fontaine Foundation is a non-profit organization, created in 2011 by the fashion designer Anne Fontaine which aims towards raising awareness about environmental issues through eco-friendly art and fashion, having as a primary goal the reforestation and protection of the Brazilian Atlantic Rainforest (Mata Atlântica). The Foundation wants to sensitize the public by organising artistic events in different schools and involving sculptors, painters and photographers. The foundation works and supports programs of reforestation implemented by local NGOs. The foundation also sells ecofriendly products designed by Anne Fontaine herself.

All sales from these gorgeous eco-friendly bracelets which are fabricated with natural leather from Europe and treated with a vegetal tanning (mimosa, quebracho and chestnut tree tannins) using an entirely natural process and eco-totes made from recycled plastic bottles bags goes directly to the Anne Fontaine Foundation.  For every tote you buy 5 trees are planted and for every bracelet 15 trees are planted!

Donald Pliner | American Cancer Society

The American Cancer Society is on a mission to free the world from cancer. Until they do, they will be funding and conducting research, sharing expert information, supporting patients, and spreading the word about prevention. All so you can live longer — and better.

Opportunity Village is a not-for-profit organization serving adults in the Southern Nevada community with intellectual and related disabilities, to enhance their lives and the lives of the families who love them. Opportunity Village is dedicated to helping people become the very best they can be. Through vocational training, community employment, day services, advocacy, arts and social recreation, citizens with severe disabilities are able to find new friends, realize future career paths, seek independence and community integration and unleash creative passions.

Mont Blanc | St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment.
