As 2016 comes to a close I’m taking a look back at some of my favorite finds, highlights and most read posts from 2016.

It’s been a crazy year full of ups and downs, highs and lows but most of all growth.  I wanted to give you all a very heartfelt thank you for following and reading along this past year and being there with me on this blogging journey.

In the spirit of the famous ball drop and countdown to the new year, I’m counting down 10 of my favorite blog moments from 2016- each with a link to click to in case you missed it the first time around.

One of my most read posts of the year was actually a mens post:  When to Tuck a Shirt  You can click over to the post for full details but an easy rule of thumb that can never steer you wrong is: If the shirt hem is even- leave it untucked. If the shirt has visible ‘tails’ or an uneven hem – tuck it in.  When you see my face grimacing while looking at a mens look its usually because they got this one wrong.

This year Las Vegas FINALLY got a Drybar location and I was front and center for the Grand Opening.  DryBar Opens in Las Vegas.  Strategically positioned across from Sephora near Urban Outfitters at The Miracle Mile Shops THIS Drybar not only serves up a great blowout and fantastic products but it is also the FIRST Drybar to have a full bar, a resident DJ booth and a cute little SELFIE station where you can take a post-blow-out photos or animated GIF’s and send to yourself via text or email.

When I attended the VISION Expo back in September to preview the hottest trends in eyewear it really “clicked” with readers.  One of my hottest posts of the year followed me around the showroom floor trying on endless amounts of shades PLUS one lucky reader won a pair a ETRO sunnies!

Last October I styled AND sat on the panel for Neiman Marcus’ Fall Trend Report Fashion Show.  The show focused on four of Fall/Winter’s top trends: Ripe Berry Shades, Fall Florals, Bomber Jackets and Velvet. I shared some tips for styling the trends and a behind the scenes look at the show and you responded making it one of my most read and shared posts of 2016.

My readers LOVE a good How-To Post!  Every-time I share some How-To tips its a winner.  When I posted about “How To Tie a McQueen Scarf” my analytic skyrocketed PLUS Independent Fashion Bloggers featured the post on their Links a la Mode.

This year I stepped up my Look of the Day posts adding them more frequently into the rotation and forcing my husband into the world of blog photography.  One of my personal favorite posts of the year was my Interview with 3 Blogging Husbands (including my own) on taking photo’s for their wive’s blogs. Meet the Men Behind Our Cameras.

I LOVE getting together with other bloggers.  It is such a welcoming, supportive and inclusive community. One of my most cherished moments from 2016 was hosting the Alex & Ani Bangles and Brunch.  Las Vegas Bloggers Showed up in force! Myself and 20 of my blogging gal pals gathered together at The daily kitchen to kick of the holidays by previewing Alex and Ani’s Holiday Collection and sip on another FANTASTIC discovery HUG Wine!

I got to show off my AIRSTREAM in the most read post of the year:  A Girl, an Airstream and Her Christmas PJs– which was posted just a week ago!  Cuddly and cozy with Minnetonka slippers I haven’t taken off since it was my most comfy Outfit of the Day EVER.

ONE

Black White and Chanel All Over.  The single best discover of 2016: TheRealReal.com.  Just about every single one of my Looks of the Day includes a piece from this FANTASTIC consignment site. TheRealReal is the premier site for online luxury consignment with over 600 employees and multiple locations across the United States that accept and ship product worldwide.  Shopping on TheReal is never a gamble, they ensure that every item on The RealReal is 100% the real thing, each piece is authenticated through their dedicated team of authentication experts, horologists and gemologists. They know exactly how to tell real from counterfeit, from the quality of the leather to the zipper manufacturer.
